Skyros

Skyros

Skyros is located in the centre of the Aegean Sea with access from Kymi (central Evia) and is an ideal destination for a peaceful holiday close to mainland Greece and Evia. In our island you will enjoy the clean seas and walks in nature, you will eat delicious lobster, seafood and local livestock products in almost all of its restaurants and taverns while you can also try the "nightlife" in the shops of Chora.

It has wonderful beaches for all tastes. Most of them don't have umbrellas and sunbeds, but there are also several organized ones like Molos which is one of the busiest and most organized beaches of Skyros. It has umbrellas, sunbeds, beach bars and restaurants.

Other beaches we would suggest you to visit

• Kyra Panagia: is a long sandy beach with crystal clear waters and trees that provide shade.
• Kalamitsa: is located below the homonymous settlement and is one of the largest beaches on the island. It has pebbles, umbrellas, cafes and taverns, and is ideal for windsurfing.
• Pefkos: the beach of the homonymous settlement is sandy, surrounded by lush hills and has umbrellas and trees. As it's a relatively sheltered beach, it's your best bet if it's windy on the island one day.
• Shops: this is a popular beach next to Chora. It has a wide sandy beach, crystal clear waters, cafes and tavernas.
• Agios Petros: this is a beautiful beach with turquoise waters, sand and pebbles. Although it is not organized, the pine trees surrounding it provide natural shade.
• Agalipa: these are 2 quiet beaches in a beautiful cove surrounded by pine trees. They are sandy with clear blue waters and on one of them there is a shipwrecked boat. They are not organised and access is via a path (about 40 minutes) or, more easily, by sea.
• Pouria: a beach worth visiting for its unique landscape with special rock formations. There is also the impressive chapel of Agios Nikolaos carved into a rock.
• Acherounes: it is a beautiful beach with golden sand and calm, shallow waters, ideal for families. It is located near the port and has cafes.
• Atsitsa: this is an idyllic bay with pebbles, crystal clear waters and lush vegetation reaching down to the sea.
• Gyrismas: this popular sandy and fine pebble beach has umbrellas, sunbeds and shops nearby.

Tip

Agalipa is quite isolated and inaccessible, but it is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island and definitely worth a visit. If you want to avoid the adventure and the relatively inaccessible path, there are boats that run daily excursions to the beach and several others require you to book a place 1-2 days in advance.
